Terms of Use

These terms govern access to and use of Boone County Criminal History. Reading a page or using a search feature indicates agreement with every condition below. Anyone who does not accept these conditions must stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. This private website has no affiliation with Boone County, Missouri, or any government body. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a consumer reporting service. Information here must not be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

1. What This Website Is

Boone County Criminal History is an independent reference resource. It neither stores official records nor files requests, runs official checks, or retrieves documents for visitors.

The site points toward official custodians, including the Boone County Sheriff, Boone County Circuit Clerk, Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS, and Missouri Sex Offender Registry, and may connect visitors with third-party research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the website, you agree not to:

  • Violate federal, Missouri, or local law
  • Harass, stalk, intimidate, or threaten another person
  • Use information for credit, employment, housing, or insurance decisions
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools against the pages
  • Interfere with site operation or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this website or a linked tool may not be used to stalk, threaten, intimidate, harass, or unlawfully discriminate. The restriction is especially important for Missouri Sex Offender Registry information. Missouri's official notice says registry data may not be used to facilitate a crime. It supports public awareness, not vigilantism or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We do not prepare credit reports, background reports, or consumer reports and are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. Visitors must not use this website or a linked tool to:

  • Make a hiring or firing choice
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Set credit or insurance terms
  • Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated activity

A legally required consumer report must come from an authorized, FCRA-compliant provider or the proper official process, not this website.

5. No Legal Advice

Explanations of Boone County records and Missouri law are general information, not legal advice. A licensed Missouri attorney should address how a warrant, charge, conviction, registry duty, or expungement law applies to a particular situation.

6. No Warranties

The website and its content are provided "as is." We make no promise that:

  • Information will always be complete, accurate, or current
  • The service will remain uninterrupted
  • Every page will be free from defects or security weaknesses
  • A partner search will return complete or correct results

Charges, dispositions, access status, and agency procedures change. Content here is not an official statement by Boone County, a Missouri court, MSHP, or any other public body.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to public offices, courts, legal resources, and outside search providers that we do not operate. Their content, availability, privacy rules, fees, and terms are their responsibility. Review the destination's policies before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code on this website belong to Boone County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, modified, distributed, or adapted without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent Missouri law permits, we are not liable for losses or damages arising from use of this website, including reliance on content or results supplied by a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, demands, proceedings, costs, and legal fees caused by your site use or your violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Missouri law governs these terms, including applicable consumer protections under the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act, RSMo ยงยง407.010 et seq. A dispute arising from use of this site must be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Missouri.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A new version becomes effective when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions
